February 20, 2010 Dennis Paul, CEO and Founder of ECOFuel Worldwide Inc., announced today the introduction of ORGANICA™, the first bio-based, petroleum free, non-alcohol canned fuel used for heating, cooking and warming. The canned fuel industry has used petro-chemical based fuels spanning six decades. New technology in canned fuels began with the first introduction of ECOFuel in 1996. Today, ECOFuel advances the canned fuel technology with ORGANICA™. A bio-based, petroleum free, non-flammable, non-hazardous fuel whose patented process provides a consistent high heat over a longer period of time. Independent laboratory analysis demonstrates CO and emissions are exceptionally low for safe indoor use! Life Cycle analysis conclude a 20% savings versus fossil-based equivalents! ORGANICA™ does not contain any ethanol or industrial glycols and represents a major advancement in the canned fuel industry. HOT OFF THE PRESS The Clark County Fire Department has reclassified ECOFuel products with a flashpoint of over 200 degrees Fahrenheit as a class IIIB combustible liquid, not a flammable solid like gelled fuels. “There is no limit on the amount of class IIIB combustible liquids you can have in a sprinklered building, so storing this material will not be a problem.” Not all canned fuel manufacturers can make the claim that their entire product line meets this classification. Especially when offering highly flammable alcohol and butane products. Since 2002, ECOFuel has been the only canned heat ever recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency. There are many competitors that claim to be the same, but there is only one canned heat technology that has been recognized by all three Fire, Food and Environmental safety agencies . . .
